Sunday Citar

"The best thing you've ever done for me
is to help me take my life less seriously"
-Indigo Girls, "Closer to Fine"
This weekend, we took a drive down "Egg and I" road. I have to admit that, once again, I fell in love. Along with Port Townsend, I feel that I MUST somehow, someday, live on Egg and I road.

This is a turkey vulture in flight. It was sitting right next to us as I fumbled for my camera.
This quote is primarily dedicated to my daughter. It's hard to hold on to a good brood fest, or even do any serious thinking at all, when a gorgeous little sprite with dirt on her face runs through the yard, hair flowing back like ribbons in the breeze, a banana in one hand and a chunk of homemade bread in the other, yelling, "Chichens! Chichens!"
Today she helped me clean the coop, dig holes, add another layer of dirt to the kennel "floor," and feed treats to the chickens. By dinner time she was filthy and exhausted.
She had a hard time sharing the bread. Since she helped me make it the other day, she's found that she LOVES homemade honey oatmeal bread with butter for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacktime.

One bite for me....
One bite for you....

I too would love to live on Egg and I road. How dreamy! Nothing like some beautiful pastoral pictures to put you in a good mood.
