The day after Christmas, we travelled across the pass to the other side of the state to be with my family for a late Holiday. Spokane had about 3-4 feet of snow - something my kids had never seen. Although we brought along a flu bug that we spread throughout the family, it was a cozy, relaxing, and warm trip. We spent hours with my sisters and their husbands playing cards, watching movies, eating, talking, shoveling, and sledding. Each time we went sledding in the woods, it was a major workout just to walk through the deep drifts and smoosh a path that was compact enough to go sledding with any amount of speed. We had Ranger to help pull Aidan on the sled, which he seemed to thoroughly enjoy everytime we walked through the neighborhood on our way to the sledding hills.
